Hey Everyone,
I decided to also add some poems to this blog. Most of the ones I put up will be written by me, and I will give proper credit if I end up putting up someone else's poem.
That's all for now,
Thanks for reading

Candle Light
A candle flickers in the background
Flame dancing to the left
Before dodging right
No other light is visible
The flame creates a circle of light
One that darkness cannot touch
One that completely envelopes the candle
You are the candle
Let me be your flame,
To keep away the darkness
The black of night at bay
We are perfect for each other
You and I
For without you
I am an natural disaster
Untamed and dangerous
And without me
You are just a candle
Alone in the dark
Flame dancing to the left
Before dodging right
No other light is visible
The flame creates a circle of light
One that darkness cannot touch
One that completely envelopes the candle
You are the candle
Let me be your flame,
To keep away the darkness
The black of night at bay
We are perfect for each other
You and I
For without you
I am an natural disaster
Untamed and dangerous
And without me
You are just a candle
Alone in the dark

Create a story
What you do is create a list of ten interesting characters, ten interesting settings and ten interesting situation. Once you have this list, you tell the class (or whatever group you are working with) to pick three numbers between one and ten and have them list them vertically down the paper, like this:
8
4
7
Once that is done, read off the list of characters and what number those characters are. (eg. a mobster is number 1, a goal medalist is number 2 and so on)
Once you are sure everyone has there character, continue on doing the same thing for the setting and the situations.
When everyone has something for all three numbers, get them to write a story with those three things in it.
Great fun and can be very interesting.

Pet Peeves
This is just a great way to get to know people. Have them make a list of pet peeves and explain them all by using metaphors and similes . For example; warm summer days, so hot it is like you are on the surface of the sun.
It is a really simple was to get some people writing and the fun part about it is to get so involved that by the time you are done writing, you are so cheesed off (sorry, I know it was a cliché). Another thing that is alway good to communicate is not to use clichés. If you have heard it before, don't use it.
Welcome!
Hi Everyone,
I am currently taking a writing course in school. We have come across some great writing activities that really get people writing. Some of them have more of a story to them, while others are just a simple idea of how to get people writing. I will try to update this as frequently as I go through this course.
